Great post. I saw that forum. Rothschild's using a fake constitution. Isn't the constitution made of parchment? It's an outrage.

The Federalist papers were written by John Jay, Alexander Hamilton, and James Madison under the pseudonym Publius. They were a collection of absolutely brilliant essays, over 80, written in the late 1780s. They were all about defending and explaining the constitution, which hadn't been ratified yet.

You see, it's not all that easy to understand, not all the founding fathers agreed on what it meant or should mean, and they fought over it a great deal.

But amazingly, here comes Richard Rothschild a couple hundred years later and he can just pick it up and interpret it for us. What a genius!

I look forward to more details about time and location ... I think it's crucial for D5 residents to have a chance to meet and ask questions of both candidates!

Hi Mike - thanks for your question. There are some candidate forums coming up, and I think more will be put together in the near future. The League of Women Voters is hosting a forum at Carroll Community College on October 12, I think at 7:00 PM. The Carroll Media Center is also planning a forum on October 20. There will be some forums within each district as well - I know in District 5 there is talk of another forum by the Freedom Area Citizens Council. I know that Waste Not! Carroll is also considering another candidate forum but has not committed yet.

I will do a blog post within the next few days on upcoming events that I'm aware of and will try to keep people updated as I learn more. I appreciate you taking the time to get to know the candidates and I hope you can attend one or more of the forums. Thanks again for writing!

I'm interested in getting more interested in local politics. Now that the primary is over, will there be a candidate debate? Where? When?

Thanks.
